Alternatives to contraception

Why do people use contraception?

First of all because they do not want to have kids. In fact, they think of children as an incremental cost and a nuisance to their own lives.
It is true that Western societies have so many taxes that it is difficult to provide for one's family!
Nonetheless, having children is the biggest blessing one can receive on earth.

Secondly, certain youngsters or teenagers use contraception to sleep around without having to commit themselves to one another in a responsible way. Each one experiments (exploits?) on the other, and throws him/her out if it is not what they expected. In this context, a child is not welcomed. And who cares about respecting its life, if it has already been conceived!
But this is facing the problem the wrong way. Human sexuality is foreseen to blossom in mutual commitment, i.e. marriage. All the other cases are disasters, which is more and more obvious every day. Abstinence is then the most intelligent attitude before marriage.

Thirdly, some families wish to plan ahead the arrival of their children. But the end does not justify the means: not every method is acceptable. For example, hormonal contraception, to give the most obvious example, also induces abortion, it kills children that have already been conceived.
Those who respect human life resort to abstinence and eventually to natural methods which respect the nascent life.
